Dr. Ryan Scotting

Meet the owner of ProCare, Dr. Ryan Scotting. “ProCare was built on a chiropractic foundation and then tried to take it to the next level thinking what can I do to help people live a healthier, more balanced, well-rounded lives and that is what ProCare turned into. We offer a structural foundation which is chiropractic and massage. I pride myself on not only giving a great chiropractic adjustment but on giving people tools they can take with themselves and apply in their daily lives. Whether it’s exercises, rehab, stretches, postural movements. That helps people go so far, but then we kind of started to evolve off into diet, nutrition and lifestyle and use advanced ways to help people identify nutritional shortcomings, lifestyle stresses, different things to help them complete that other side of the health profile that is not just structural. That is what Procare has turned into over the years.”

Q: What inspired you or led you to your current career?

A: I was an athlete in high school and I wanted to be a physical therapist because physical therapy had helped me so much after a back injury. Then I wound up seeing a chiropractor and within my first visit I was 80% better. That planted the chiropractic seed in me. It helped that my soon-to-be girlfriend’s father was a chiropractor and she educated me and showed me that chiropractic care was more than just being about back pain and headaches. It probably took me 4 years of her convincing me before I went back to chiropractic school and a couple of years in practice before I really understood what chiropractic was and how to apply it. So, it was I’d say least a decade for me to evolve from my original thinking to my current understanding of what chiropractic is and what it has to offer.
